Messages and so I simply aborted the installation. With an End-User License, and I hit 'y' to continue, but then I continued getting a lot of INTERNAL ERROR ABORT: 'Unexpected architecture 'armhf'', execution aborted I went into the uld folder and then typed It unpacked everything into the uld directory. tar.gz file from my laptop to the raspberry pi.
After unpacking this file in my Windows laptop, I tried simply selecting the ML-2510.ppd file that I located in the noarch\share\ppd\ directory, using my remote connection the the CUPS server. So then I changed OS to linux/Debian and downloaded Samsung Print Driver for Linux V1.00.39_01:17. Just to verify that the printer works, I connected it to my laptop and was able to print using Samsung Easy Printer Manager V2.00.01.24 from. It sends a test page, and I see under processing it gets to "rendering complete" and disappears off the Jobs list. I add the printer, Set default options, then I click the Maintenance drop down and select "Print a page". I tried several that were close - 2150, 2250, 2550. Now under the list of drivers, I do not see one for ML-2510.
I give it a name/description, and I click "Share this printer" and click continue. computer/ by editing /etc/cups/nf (I won't paste all the steps here, but this worked correctly after I did it).Īnyway, so now I'm in the CUPS webserver, and under Administration/Printers, I add a printer, I enter username/password for pi, and then I see my Samsung ML-2510 under Local Printers. Later, I realized that I could have simply enabled network access on the CUPS web server, so I did that also using this guide. I'd never needed to do that before when using vnc. Then I read in a comment that I needed to add the :1 after the IP when vnc'ing in. So then I manually installed tightvncserver using this guide. My first thought was to enable vnc so I tried doing so in the raspi-config via ssh. I had already enabled ssh anticipating that I'd need to use the terminal, but didn't realize I'd need a webserver and that the CUPS server was by default not accessible on the network. Then I realized I needed to access a web server, and I had already moved it into the office location where it was now headless. Next I connected the printer via the USB cable and then rebooted:

I ran through the steps to install Raspbian (full) on a 32gb microSD, and was using this guide to help get the printer setup. I set up a new 3 B+ last night for the specific purpose for it to act as a print server for an old Samsung ML-2510 (USB) laser printer as it's full of toner.
